Mr. Stephen Kipchumba Cheboi serves as the Chairperson and team leader at the National Federation of Public Benefit Organizations; an umbrella body established under section 21 of the PBOs Act, 2013. He has participated in several governance and leadership and management courses at Kenya School of Government (KSG) convened by State Corporations Advisory Committee (SCAC), The Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) and other professional bodies. He has been trained on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and participated in local and international training as learning exchange programmes in the PBOs sector. He holds a leadership course certificate in Governance and Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He served as youth leader in the National Youth Council of Kenya among several other leadership positions at community and national levels. He Participated in the Training of Peace and Non-violent Actions. Under the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance, he worked with Kenya National Platform for Climate Governance with the role of championing for Climate Change Adaptation and mitigation and partnering with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to advocate for planting of trees to increase the country’s forest cover.
