Register a PBO

This form is to be completed by any organization seeking registration under the Non- Governmental Organizations Act, 1990 Section 10 read together with regulation 10 of the NGOs Co-ordination Regulations 1992. Applicants {National and International} }are therefore advised to obtain and familiarise themselves with the Non-Governmental Co-ordination Act, 1990 and the Non-Governmental Organisations Regulations 1992.

  1. Personal particulars (contacts & addresses) for the proposed top three officials {Chairman, Secretary , Treasurer and board members} in the prescribed format.
  2. Scanned copy of proposed organization constitution signed by all the board members.(PDF Not exceeding 2.5 mb)
  3. Sample signatures of all the board members. All signatures should be in Blue ink on a plain white background.
  4. Scanned copies of current coloured passports size photographs of the intended officials (size 2*2 taken on a white background)
  5. Valid police clearance certificate (not more than one year) or Notarised Police Clearance certificate from Country of residence for Non Kenyan
  6. Scanned copy of the Bio data page of the foreigner’s passport
  7. Scanned minutes of the proposed organization resolving to register the NGO and election of the interim officials signed by the top three officials. The minutes must not be more than 14 days old from the date of the meeting.
  8. Contact details, physical and postal address of the proposed organization.
  9. List of counties the NGO intends to operate in (Maximum of 5). If need be to expand, a separate application post registration will be required to be submitted to the NGOs Co-ordination Board.
  10. One year estimated budget of the intended operations of the NGO
 
 
 
 
 
 
  1. No organization will be allowed to operate as an NGO in Kenya without a valid certificate of registration issued by the NGOs Co- ordination Board.
  2. A registered organization will be subject to the Laws of Kenya
  3. The applicant, { an official or authorised agent acting on behalf of the intended organisation} undertakes to confirm and acknowledge that they have read and understood the terms and conditions and further confirm that the information they submit is true to the best of their knowledge; That untrue information would be subject to cancellation of the certificate of registration.
  4. This application is for the purpose of registration only {other post registration services are handled separately and independently but processed through the NGOs Co-ordination Board}.
