Professional Profile
Dr. Laxmana Peter Kiptoo is the Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority. Since his appointment on 7 February 2025, he has provided day-to-day leadership in the registration and regulation of Kenya’s public benefit organizations sector.
He also oversees the development and implementation of strategies designed to protect public benefit organizations from misuse for terrorism financing and serves as Secretary to the Authority’s Board of Directors.
Public-Service Experience
Dr. Kiptoo has more than 20 years of public-service experience. He has held senior roles in several Government institutions, including the National Intelligence and Research University, where he served as a senior lecturer, the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Headquarters, the National Police Service Headquarters and the Office of the President.
