PBORA Director urges PBOs to use the Disputes Tribunal

The Authority's Director/CEO, Dr Laxmana Kiptoo, has urged PBOs to resolve disputes through the Public Benefit Organizations Disputes Tribunal (PBODT).

He made the appeal today while appearing before the Senate Standing Committee on Health to clarify the Authority's regulatory intervention at Family Health Options Kenya (FHOK), following a petition by some members of the FHOK Board. He was accompanied by the Deputy Director, Registration and Data Management; the Heads of the Legal and Compliance divisions; and other Authority officers.

Dr Kiptoo encouraged PBOs with disputes to use the PBODT, the legal avenue established for this purpose under the law. He also encouraged them to engage auditors in good standing with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya to carry out their audits and support compliance when filing annual reports.

PBORA remains committed to fair, transparent and accountable regulation of the PBO sector.
